Rob ("Hollywood Hincapie")

Rob – the media superstar, otherwise known as “Hollywood Hincapie”. Rob recently turned 60 years of age and is still a feared competitor in the peloton, particularly in a bunch sprint. His media contacts give him access to many famous sporting personalities. Our photo shows him assisting Lance Armstrong in the Team Time Trial at the 2010 Tour de France. The outstanding time of the Astana team was due in no small part to Rob’s big effort that day!Apart from riding, Rob contributes in a big way to the sport of cycling through his media commentating and his involvement with a key sponsor, Jayco. In the off season for the professional circuit, Rob keeps his legs trim by spinning around with the Geelong Vets club. Just don’t let him near any broken jockey wheels lying on the roadside!
